So what is the current state of the wiring? Is timer pin #2 still disconnected?
 
Ha ha. That i have not done. Im ready to continue as per your instructions. I updated the schematic. Im using the 5v wallwart and the modified micro switch.

Ok...so lets continue testing with timer #2 disconnected.

Let's test the output driver TBD62003.

1. Cycle power off, then on, wait 1 minute.
2. Initial voltage measured at each pin:
P1-P4=0v
P5=5v
P6-P8=0v
P16=0v
P15=5v (relay de-energized)
P14=~3.7 (Grn LED off)
P13=5v (buzzer off)
P12=0v (Red LED on)
P11=5v (buzzer off)
P10=~3.7 (Yel LED off)
P9=5v

Report back.

Yes. the voltage measure should be within a few millivolts

Next test:
voltage measured at each pin after ONE button press/release:
P1=0
P2=5v
P3=5v
P4-P8=0
P6-P8=0v
P16=0v
P15=0v (relay energized)
P14=0v (Grn LED on)
P13=5v (buzzer off) 4.8
P12=5v (Red LED off)
P11=5v (buzzer off) 4.8
P10=~3.7 (Yel LED off) 3.7
P09=5v

Now...Press/release the button again ONCE.

Voltages should revert back to those shown in post #85.


P1-P4=0v 0.011 > 0.013
P5=5v 4.9 > 4.9
P6-P8=0v 0.011 > 0.014

P14=~3.7 (Grn LED off) 3.4 > 3.4

Looks good.
I'm assuming you are also checking the status of the LED's, relay and buzzer.

Lets go to the next test.
 
This will be a timer test.
We'll be testing the 555 timer "timeout" setting.

For this test:
1. 555 Pin #2 will need to be disconnected from 5v and reconnected to CD4013 pin #2
2. You'll need a stopwatch or timer to visually measure the timeout. (I use the timer on my iPhone)
3. We'll set the timeout to 10 seconds by adjusting VR1.

Begin test:
1. Cycle power off, then on, wait 1 minute.
After power up, only the Red LED should be "on".
2. Prepare your stop watch to time when the Yellow LED changes.
3. Press/release the button ONCE.
Yellow LED=on (the Grn LED will also turn on). Start stopwatch
Yellow LED=off at about 12 seconds (Grn LED also shuts off). Stop stopwatch.
4. If the time is longer or shorter than 12 seconds, re-adjust VR1, then repeat test from step 2.
Doesnt have to be exactly 12 second. Just consistent.

Ok. Timer test
Min 6.45 minutes
Max 13.30 minutes
Each time yellow led went out the voltage at pin15 on the darlington remained at 0.79v
NOTE: my vr1 is 1M not 1.6M

Ok...but:

1.6M+1M=2.6M

T=1.1*R*C=943.8 seconds=15.73 minutes

Much of the accuracy depends on the quality of the timing cap and resistor tolerance
You can make the timeout a little longer by increasing R6.
