Kitchen timer problem

Hi all,
Total amateur here so please be patient.

I have a kitchen style timer, I use this to alert me when the immersion switch needs turned off so it’s not on for more than an hour.

When the timer counts down and the alarm beeps it goes off after a minute. So in other words i only have a minute in which to pick up on the alert. .

I’m hoping there is something I can do to set the alarm / beeper to stay on until the start/stop button is pressed.

I’ve attached some photos and any help would be greatly appreciated.

Totally get that but this is to sit above the immersion switch in the kitchen so my family/kids will all use it instead of a phone. Easier to remember to do it.

The black blob on the circuit board is the "brains" and totally encapsulated. Doubt you'll be able to modify anything unless the original design had that feature. Have you checked online for a user manual that might help?

Mike.

I don't like to be obvious - but why not put a timer on the heater itself?, or even better put a thermostat on the heater (which it should have anyway).

With a proper thermostat you don't need to do silly things like 'put it on for an hour', just switch it ON and forget about it - once it gets to temperature it will turn itself OFF, and then come back ON occasionally to maintain the temperature - oviously it needs to be well insulated, but again it should be anyway.

I ran a immersion heater like this for decades, (as millions do) and never had big bills.
