I am trying this circuit in the Multisim 2001 computer program simulator and it triguers but it does NOT RESET when a press the reset button.

I took the schematic from this web:

https://www.eleinmec.com/article.asp?5

Can you explain me why is does not work or what I need to fix?

Can you give me another web page were I can find a 555 bistable circuit schematic. I has done a lot of search but only find monostable and astable circuits.

I am a beguiner in electronic.

THX,

Isaac

I've had trouble working with Oscillators in MultiSim. I'd recommend researching the manual. MultiSIM is a great proggy, but it ain't perfect! Never rely on MultiSIM’s results alone… You’ve gotta prototype a circuit to confirm operation in the REAL world!!!

I belive you. Sometimes the same project work on the Multisims and sometimes not.

Do you review the schematic about the Bistable circuit???

Do you think is OK?

Isaac

The circuit is fine. You could actually replace the circuit using a JK Flip flop instead of using the more analog orientated 555, however you’d loose the 555’s output drive circuit. 8)
