Sometimes a job description will be relevant solely to the company advertising. It has become a nonsense area with job description's, I once heard our old window cleaner refer to his self as a Visionologist!
Long gone are the day's, where job description's were pretty universal

Where I worked, there was a re-design of the positions and for the most part, the titles concentrated on skill level.
Using simple terms, you could have Cook, level 1, etc. Not "burger flipper". The type of institution was a research department as part of an educational institution.

When i owned the farm it was easy, you had the BOSS (me) and the worker's (them).
