Hi all, is the first time I write in this forum. TIG welding machine wanted to build this site **broken link removed**. Since I have the double-sided pcb control scheme but it is very difficult to deduce where will each of the components in the pcb and the site is not found. Someone in the forum has this circuit, if so could put on this thread? from now, thank you very much

Sorry to burst your bubble but building TIG unit like that is no easy task and if the person who originally built it does not give out parts lists and what not you basically out of luck. From what I saw of that design the parts involved are rather specific and the overall cost of them is going to be right up there with buying a used factory built name brand unit.

If you plan to get into real TIG welding work go out and buy a real TIG machine. It does not have to be new to do a good job plus if you are good with electronics your best bets are to find a damaged brand name one cheap and fix it yourself.

Oh ya and how did you manage to join in 2003 and only now get around to your first post?

it is better to buy new one than to spend your time to look for a cheap one and try to fixed it again, its a waste of time, may be if you have contruct work that uses teg welding machine, you may be losing a customer.

CRIS used welders doesn't mean cheap or broken, you can buy working welders for a fraction of the cost of a new unit, it's still gonna set you back a little bit but well worth it over buying a brand new unit especially when you have no clue what you're doing.

Carlos, while attempting to build a tig welder may ne very satisfying intellectualy the cost involved versus the end result will be a negative experience. Also if you are just learning to tig you need a machine that works properly to insure that when you have issues they are really caused by you and not the machine. Several posters have ideas on changing their welders to do different processes and it is possible, but not economically a good idea even for an experienced weldor. Best bet for you is to obtain a good working used machine and get a bunch of hood time then decide what your exact need is and pursue that avenue when you get there. The components required to build a machine from scratch will outweigh the cost of a used and even a new unit if you build one properly. Sorry...
