i have a transducer to measure pressure of 0 to 10bar and its output ranges from 0 to 5v. I need an alarm circuit such that it should work when the pressure is less than 3bar

could any one please help me on this.. thanks

hi,
You need a comparator circuit, a suitable IC would be a LM393 or LM339.
Whats the alarm you want to drive and what power supplies do you have.?

i have got power supply of 9v.. i still didnt think of type of alarm... may be a small led light or a sound...

ok,
Decide which you want light or sound,or both, also tell me the type of devices and I will modify the circuit.

not exactly same one but a flashing led with 55mA..
Can i use a schmitt trigger insted a comparator..?

You did ask for a circuit.... which I posted.

Tell me what components you have available and I will post another circuit.
Sketch out and post your version of the proposed Schmitt trigger circuit

Its always a good idea to fill in your location so that we have an idea what you can buy in your area.
