C cobra148 Member Dec 28, 2014 #1 Hi Just need a little bit of help with this schematic. I need to know the purpose of the ferrite rod (circled in red) . It looks to be a wound iron ferrite rod, but I don't know what purpose it has in the circuit. Thanks in advance for any help offered.

C cobra148 Member Dec 28, 2014 #3 Hi thanks for that, can it be omitted or replaced with something commercially available ?. As I don't know the winding details of this component. Regards.
