Ive dug this circuit back out to have a play with. I have added a 5V switching regulator to the output of the circuit. However i think this circuit is causing havock with my low voltage detection.
what i want is to have is a 12V to 9V output, but also have a steady 5V output tapped off from the same 12v to 9V output.
The trouble i am finding with this is it screws up my calculations and in some cases it prevent my TL431 from complelty turn off the mosfet (which get very hot due to load current). I think its either the capacitors in conjunction with the 240K hysterisis resistor or the actual switching reg itself.
Is there any way i can isolate the two circuit so neither effect the perfromance of each other?
