Laser window bounce system

I'm not ready to build one yet . . . I'm just curious.

How hard is it to build one of these things? It sounds pretty simple to me, almost like an ir communications system or something. Am i right?

It's a laser so you would actually have to line it up, right? So it would be impossible to listen to a window that is 1 story above you?

I assume you would have to be 90 degrees to the window, or for your transmitter and receiver to be alligned through 90 degrees.

Think satellite dish... transmission signal is reflected through a point on the dish through 90 degrees...

Not sure if I said that correctly...
