Hi guys, this is my first thread.

I am working on a project of making an Irregular counter with the sequence (1, 3, 5, 7)

I'll be using 2x 74ls76 and some ANDS and OR gates, a 1Hz timer, and a seven segment display.

The results of my Karnaugh maps for the 3 FlipFlops are:

FF0 (less significant bit)

J0 = Q0 Q2 Q1
K0 = Qo Q2 Q1

FF1
J1 = Q1 Q0
K1 = Q0 Q2 + Q0 Q2 Q1

FF2
J2 = Q2 Q1 Q0
K2 = Q2 Q1 Q0

I dont know why but i keep getting 7 (111) as the output and sometimes 3(110) . The timer and the decoder are working fine.
Maybe the problem is in the simplification of the karnaugh maps. Any ideas on what could be wrong? If the the maps are ok please let me know.
