How to switch on/off from one comuter to another throght internet..??

HI all,

I need your help to turn on/off simple by internet i have listen dream viewer can be used for that but i have no idea how to proceed further please help me to do this experiment.
i have window XP with 32Bit and intel i3 PC and want to go with using parallel port

You can shutdown a computer on a local intranet with the shutdown command

Syntax
shutdown [{-l|-s|-r|-a}] [-f] [-m [\\ComputerName]] [-t xx] [-c "message"] [-d[p]:xx:yy]

But to re-awaken the machine, you'll need to have "Wake from Lan" facility in the bios...

I have to connect External LED like fro // port while pressing button from another pC it may be external switch...
