Hi all,
I am looking for some general ideas about measuring the frequency of a pulsing light without using an O-scope. If a photo-diode were exposed to this flashing light, I assume that the voltage it produces would be a sort of square wave. Can a micro-controller or something be used to get a numeric estimation of the frequency of said wave? I am not even sure if I am going in the right direction with this one.
