dot matrix moving sign

hai ...
i'm doing my project (dot matrix message sign).
and i feel difficult to make 'the hardware', i've tried it,
but it always doesn't work well.
so can you help me to make 'the hardware' (circuit diagram)?
i use IC AT89S52.

i also want that my message sign can do many animations.
i've think it for at least 5 animations :
1. shift left --> unlimited char
2. scroll up
3. scroll down
4. dropping lines
5. display per char
for no 2 - no 5 = 12 char max (i use 12 dot matrix 5x8)

for no 1,2,3 and 5 i can do it.
but no 4 (dropping lines), i don't even ever to think about it,
it's too difficult.
so, once again, can you help me make software for me?

to 'read/write' a character i use this 'logic' :
char A = 01110
10001
10001
10001 (read down per column)
11111
10001
10001
00000
so for this character i 'read/write' for
my software : 7E,88,88,88,7E (in hexa)

char B = FE,92,92,92,6C
