Seems like it, but all languages are dynamic.
 
I can see 4 million. But, 4.2 won't work.


Unless of course we include ebonics and Spanglish ok, throw in engrish.

You are aware that abbreviations are groups of single letters that stand for whole words, a single letter that could mean any number of words, a single abbreviation could stand for hundreds or thousands of word combinations, a small portion of which could logically make sense. I'm surprised there aren't more =P

As I experienced abbreviations don't necessarily have to consist of letters/numbers, but also of symbols.

The one attached was used by a journalist using his private short hand writing symbols and abbreviations.
