Advice on multiplexing ten 7-segment display

You are very conservative in estimating the voltage drop across the LED segment at 60mA current. The following is a typical graph from the datasheet of the 7-seg LEDs I'm using. It shows quite a large voltage drop. The "HER" in the graph means "high efficiency red".

Yes, I was using taengi's figure of 1.7V, I did not look at the LED curve. Thanks for pointing that out.

taengi, this means that you will need a 9 Volt supply for the displays and level shifting between the 5V levels from the PIC.
