Hi.
Somebody know what are the most commom Mifare ICs produced by Philips? Or other manufacturers...

I want to read the ID of cards (to make a person identifier system), I won't write anything to them, just read the ID.

Somebody already had experience with these MIFARE ICs? The price of the component is not important to me. I need a reliable chip.

What kind of serial interface they have? UART? I2C?

A friend told me the external hardware used with this ICs are not open to anyone and the antenna layout on PCB is hard to make work at the first PCb prototype . Is this true?

Thanks in advance.

at around $200 to $400, that's a very expensive bit of kit to be trying to push on here ......
