Hi folks,

I would like to design a water activated circuit that triggers a wireless signal to a remote device.

Here's the desired workflow:

small chamber containing a circuit when submerged in water triggers a wireless signal that activates a remote alarm, which could have either an audible or vibrating alarm setting.

Ideally, there would be a delay in the wireless signal transmission, meaning the remote alarm is not activated until the chamber has been submerged in water for a defined period of time.

I would welcome suggestions on how to approach this project.
Thanks!

In addition to the range question, must it be completely submerged or can it float on the surface in contact with the water? Is there a particular depth is must reach before activation? Can it have a wire or string attached to it for connection to a nearby device/transmitter located outside the water?
