Hi All,

Please refer the attached picture. The voltmeter shown in the picture have its meter resistance, Rm as 10k Ohm,
while load resistance , RL is 2.5k Ohm, the circuit resistance, R is 150 Ohm, E is 12 V

The question ask to get the total equivalent resistance of the whole circuit and the voltage reading by the voltmeter.

The below is my solution:

Rm is parallel with RL while in series with R,
hence the total equivalent resistance is 10k // 2.5k = 2k Ohm + 150 = 2150 Ohm

For the voltmeter reading : V = I R whereby I = 12 / 2150 = 5.58 mA
Hence the voltmeter reading is ( 5.58m )(2 k ) = 11.16 V

Please check whether my solution is correct or not?
