Unidentified component help

KISS, not the first time that's happened... :arghh:.

But I was just referring to the coil(s) portion. The (rather heavy) center conductor, which I am assuming is the reed relay thingy, is a bit of a mystery. I've never seen a reed relay with that gauge leads, although we are talking a turret lathe here.
