Hi Guys and Galls,

I know I am getting on a bit but I am having trouble locating a 74LS series Johnson Counter, 0 to 9
not 4bit BCD. Can anybody point me in the right direction please? UK/RS if possible

Thanks,
Willy

Hi Eric,
Thanks but with respect I am looking for a decade (out) device ie, 0 - 9 on individual outputs and not 4 bit. Now 74290 decade counter (separate divide-by-2 and divide-by-5 sections) as listed in the Wiki list I think fits the bill being a 5 stage counter however can not source anywhere. CMOS version is a 4017 I think.

Don't think there is a 74LS version of a Johnson counter. There is a 744017 available in the CMOS HC/HCT family. Why not use that?
