I have see alot of transformers in my day. But the other day a customer brought me in 2 transformers. He has no idea what they are from, if its step-up or step-down, v(in) or V(out). I have tried to search the part numbers on the internet but to no luck. Only one has a brand maked on it (they both have pns). I emailed the one company and they still have not gotten back to me. Any one have any suggestions on where to look?

How about just picking one winding, Putting it on a Variac and testing the others to see what voltages you get. By doing that it shouldn't be too difficult to figure something out in the ratios.

Than put a Load, like a Light bulb in some of the leads, with an amp-meter and volt meter.

In less time than Searching the Internet, you can probably figure it all out.

Forgot To Mention: A lot of Transformers are "In House Numbers", With Little to No Info Available.

Take care........Gary
