Hi,

I need a switch debounce circuit for my project, (see attatchment)

Could someone please explain how this circuit works, also is the picture suggesting the NAND gate needs a square wave input on one of its inputs?

Any feedback welcome

Thanks

The cross-coupled gates (RS flip-flop) work as debouncer. As You see, the output clear. The circuit just show: no problem with signal transfer (third gate).

You can drop the third gate, just use the Q output.

Yes, you don't need the third gate. Just use Q or Q bar.

Other types of Bounce suppressor (using resistor / capacitor delays have been discussed in this forum.

So search for "Bounce Suppressor" or search my posts as I made contributions.
