Hi All,

Please help out on this.

I manage to get Vx = 28V and Vy = 9V.

Please check whether correct or not.

Thanks & Best Regards,
Micheal

Perhaps you could provide the question that goes with your homework problem.

That is a bit like saying -
" I have five bananas can you help me with the answer "

Hi All,

Sorry for miss out the question:

The question is asking to get the Vx & Vy Voltage value by using the Superposition theorem.

For the solution:
I have tried to short each of the voltage source for this calculation.

By the time I want to short the voltage source on the left, wonder how is the current flow is? Is it the same when we short the voltage source on the right?

Btw, the answer I got is Vx = 28V and Vy = 9V.

Please guide and check whether the answer is correct.

Thanks & Best Regards,
Micheal

Oops.... Miss out the below details. Sorry...

Given V0 = 8V and the power dissipated across resistor 4 Ohm is 100 W

Find the Vx and Vy?

Thanks

If 100W in 4 ohms, then V(4ohms) = (100 * 4)^1/2

Then using mesh on left: Vx = 8V + V(4ohms)

Now, substituedthis into the equation from superposition, and you have Vy.
