solder tab aaa nimh American source?

I've got a few dead handsets, they're powered by 3x AAA nimh batteries ... the "old" batteries are rated at 850mAH ... but I see there are now 900 to 1000 mAH rated batteries out there.

however, I cannot find a source for flat-top solder tab style batteries, in anything more than 600mAH ... I've already tried "button top" batteries, and they will not fit inside the phone, so it has to be flat-top.

Anyone know of a source in the US or Canada that will sell me a small quanity (6 to 10) of 1000mAh solder-tab AAA's?

I may just have break down and buy a pre-made pack, and splice in my existing connector

normally pre-made packs cost two or three times the cost of batteries alone, so they are a big rip-off in my opinion.
