Hi everyone we have a saga vinyl cutter that's suddenly stopped working.... It's displays driver error on the LCD display ... We've narrowed it down to a certain point on the motherboard not getting any power can anyone please help as to why this is the case and possible solutions to fix it without needing to replace the entire motherboard... Thanks in advance :-)

Not much to go on. If there is no power at the red/black plug, then you have to go back to the actual power supply that creates the voltages for those wires. Usually there is some type of fuse in every power supply, you need to check those.
So your problem may not be with the motherboard, but with the actual power supply. Test all the voltages...

It appears to use the two large surface mount power ICs just to the right of the connections to control the two motor outputs. Probably full-bridge power controllers of some sort.

Can you clean the heatsink compound off and see if you can get some good photos showing the IC type number, and all the connections / component around the IC to the motor connector?

I suspect they may be L6201 series in PowerSO20 package, from what bits are visible?
