Repurposing equipment...

Hi. Been given a modern air conditioner ceiling unit "cassette" or 'controller' or 'inverter' or something in new condition because its firmware was flawed... It is loaded with high power IGBTs and components I believe to drive variably a heat pump compressor.

What can be done with it ? My wish list shows a voltage regulator using its components or sub-assemblies; >200VDC input; 14VDC out.

Also, an adjustable power supply up to 100VDC out capable of 10 Amperes would be nice.
