regarding MC or MI written in circuit diagram

In our electrical Lab manual,for measuring instruments like dc voltmeter and ac voltmeter/ammeter ,next to their symbols they have rating along with MC and MI written repectvely for dc and ac intruments.
What do they stand for?
 
For all who want to know:

Came to know from my lab instructor:

MC==> Moving Coil type meter--->used to measure DC current and voltage

MI==>Moving Iron meter--->used to measure AC current and voltage
