Recording heart sound

I am trying to build a system to record human heart sound on a computer. I am starting with a Panasonic WM-61A microphone. Can someone help me with their experience as to what kind of pre-processing, filtering, and amplification should I be looking forward to. It would also help if some guidelies can be given as to what kind of ICs shold I be using in each stage.
