ok, i'm guessing from the number it's a Sony ic.

yes and i have CXA1019s also but CXA1019 is very difficult to make tuning with it since its sensivity is small
 
Ok fine. You also need to get the critical components like 10.7MHz filters and discriminators, maybe a muRata one to start at least. Another problem is that these IC's are packaged into SDIP, so need to etch a pcb or an SDIP to DIP converter socket(rare?) to easily work on a general purpose stripboard.

TBH, I don't have these facilities, so all my sony and nxp IC's are still waiting to get a life ;)
