maybe its not the right channel to post this one..but how is called the part that helps all of us to have a flexible pcb..??

please post a name / brand..

TKS

Flexible PCB shock:

Do you mean like ribbon cables etc?

...mhh

i mean its a samll thicker pcb..

only seen it of the color white..
and it has a lot of holes in table format which are contected in some way to ech other...

mhh. only thing you have to do is clicking ot putting the calble in it..
(you don't neet soldering..) it like a test board..maybe that's a better name...

when i remember and see a foto i will post it..

the prob is i need a faster design stage of my pcb now it takes much time to test several things..

etc..whit that pcb thing..i only need bunch of cable wich i can easyli click in or just pull of..

etc..

TKS

...:D

yes yes yes yes that are them..

how do they work..??

i mean is it usefull to have them..??

TKS

mh..

if i buy one what should i also buy i mean can i use normal cables..??

another question...isn't it dangerous to use one of these..

and is it true that the bigger it is the better..??

or should i just buy 4 of the cheaper ones..

:D

Use single core wire with the breadboard.

They arent dangerous.

The holes are connected in groups of four vertically, and there are 4 lines which go horisontaly for the power rails. Chips and other components go across the middle divide.

They connect together like a jigsaw, so you can use several small ones together.

They are great! they are not dangeours as long as you only use low voltages on them

**broken link removed**

That will get you going!!!

Ok, you can buy bags of cable to interconnect the pins with, or use strands of CAT5 (network) cable stripped back.

They are very usefull for proto's but they do have a habit of tripping you up with a dodgy connection, so if your code works, then stops, it's probably loose wire

Are you based in the UK?

...jeje

Ok thanxs...MATT

no i'm now based in the netherlands...

i'm a mechanical engineer student (last year..)

and i want to do more whit pics and computers..

as mechanical engineer i know alot of construction and cnc etc..

soow i'm think of making my own CNC pcb machine..:D

well..first i need lot moreinformation about the pics..
and especially about my weakness..electronics in general..

Then the hunt begins..

i'm already @ the point of buying a temperature controllerd solder bolt..??machine..?? well you know what i mean the think that becomes hot..:D and melds your components to gether..

well see ya soon..

TKS

I know what you mean! A soldering iron

A friend of mine has just made a CNC mill, I am looking at some info about it for him now.

What are you using to program your pics? The guy at
http://www.ic-prog.com/ is also from the netherlands, his software is very good.

Good luck!

Heh....

Reading posts from TKS is always a joy. Challenging and I like the way he formats his messages ROFL.

breadboard - I got 3 here....say so :p...

See what I mean, the man speaks in riddles 8)

PCB CNC - wooo nice! Would be nice if you post a 'log' of how you make this!

...jeje

My english is not as good as it needed to be,

i brought a PicAll programmer..

The netherlands isn't realy big but i don't know everyone....
(thought he's from Delft) and i'm not.

i'm from Winterswijk where the most of the farmers lives..:D

well..

i use picallw as 'burn' software and now a days is use proton basic (trial)
to make my asm file...run in the way i want..

last but not least

my english and my type faults (pressing the wron button..lol..) are the biggest factors of the 'bad' english

everyone who continues to talk about it i challenge to talk dutch..:D

joke offcourse

TKS

I understanddds ye pefickly my son!!!

I am always joking with Bonny (IC-PROG author) that he speaks hurdy-gurdy and he tells me, "with a smile in his voice", to f**k off!

Mabe you should try the same!!!

Anyway you got yourself some breadboard sorted yet? Can you order it over there? Are there any electical shops you can travel to in your tractor?

jajaja what u humor ..!!

jajajaja

well first of all to clear up the stuff i personallt neither my fam. are farmers but we live close to them..

then the second ****..

no i'm living close to electronic shops..

often when i need something i just go to the repair services for TV and radio and HIFI stuf..

but the breadboard i will order it on the net..
faster and less time needed for a occupied person i'm...

if anyone knows a good/chiping to europe/cheap :p / creditcard shop then

i will see the link...
would be fine if i can order some more stuff...
(OSC, caps, etc etc... )

Dat Nederlands spreken gaat mij anders redelijk af denk ik zo.

I'm also working on a CNC machine to mill my pcb boards and to assist me in building my ship models. Also mechanical engineer (HTS) and also interested in PIC's. My problem is that I have no idea to translate my ideas to ASM. In stead I'm considering C or Basic and take the (small) speed loss for granted.

For those interested; take a look at www.majosoft.com and www.luberth.com/cstep for more info on this subject and for examples of home made cnc machines.

well

you seem to like my brother...(look ing @ your intersest etc..)
(for the ones that don't get him, i don't have a brother..)

(kwa bezig heden lijk je dus veel op mij lachen dat de rest dit niet snapt..)

well that's what i'm trying to do..

do you also use a pic to control the machine..??
and whit what program do you make the pcb's..??

i'm writing my own pcb drawer in visual basic to..

then whit the com object it should work all very fine..:D

p.s. whit the newest cpu's (ghz available..) it is possible to do simply whit the line command etc...

Hmm, this is my 2nd go at this message, so sorry if there are 2!

Try these guys.......

**broken link removed**

In the UK, they are very reliable, helpfull, slighty expensive, but they may suit your needs

Search for "breadboard" it's around 12 euros.

Hope this helps!
