hi,Can any one tell me what the output swing of an amplifier is? And what do we mean when we say the output swing is greater than 1 volt?
You have dropped a decimal point there AG.An output voltage swing of 1V peak-to-peak is 35.4mV RMS.
Thanks for correcting me.You have dropped a decimal point there AG.
Should be 354 mV

Your circuit with an N-channel Mosfet and a drain resistor and having a 2.5V supply should have its Vout at half the supply voltage (1.25VDC) for maximum output swing of 2.5V peak-to-peak if there is no load.
Since you want the Vout to be 2V then the maximum symmetrical output swing will be only 1Vp-p. Vbias depends on the Mosfet spec's.
There is no output swing since you say that Vout= 2V.In the circuit below if Vout=2v assuming Vdd is 2.5v, in this case can anyone tell me what is the output swing?
