Hi,

I have just got back into building electronic projects and I was wondering if anyone could recommend a RELIABLE online parts supplier in Canada or the USA. I would be looking for everything from basic components (resistors, caps, LED's etc.) through piezzo buzzers, project boxes and PIC controllers and programmer interfaces so a wide choice would be best.

Thanks,

Larry

online suppliers

Digikey and Jameco are two suppliers I use for generic parts. Digikey has a huge selection, but shop around; some of their prices are good, some aren't. The catalog's worth getting for comparisons alone.

Here are two suppliers with a good selection of surplus components, sometimes you'll find bargains on things like stepper motors, supercaps, solar cells, etc:

For surplus PC electronics, like ethernet cards or stick memory, try CSO.
(they often run free shipping deals, so wait for them).

Lot's of others, just listed a few I've used (look at shipping costs and minimum order $$)

If you just need a few odds and ends, why don't you jusk ask hear? There are a lot of nice people hear, and I'm sure that they will not charge you $5 for a 17 cent zener diode.
