Multi-plexer circiut diagrams to control 48 LED ON/OFF @ 15m

Anybody that can help with ideas to control 48 LED's from a distance of 15m to 30m .

This is for a simple game where two players (each with a keybord with 24 switches or push buttons) can switch ON & OFF a specific LED on a common 48 LED display.

To do this with wire just gets too much.
