measuring baseball bat speed

looking for a circuit that will measure baseball bat speed
using infrared photo cells as inputs. would like a display
with time or mph results.

any suggestions would be welcome

well, it's quite tricky.
if u use 2 IR sensors amd u know the distance between them, it could work
the ideea is to use the seosors, conect them to a stopwatch(a digital one) to the start and stop buttons and have the time.
u can use the distance batween the sensors so that the watch will show the result in km/h or m/h
