Matlab Serial Port Help!!

hello

i really want to learn how to use the data from the serial port in matlab. for example, my microcontroller sent a 9 in the serial port (i use soft_uart), and then i want to use that data (9) in matlab for further calculations.

i tried using the serial port function in matlab and set the baud rate and other parameters. but i don't how to import the data from the serial port to matlab. in short, i dunno what's next help!!
