Mag switch for underwater torch

New to this forum - need help please. A search found this one thread:

I could not open the links to the attached drawings and need additional help please.

I would like to use a magnet to activate a switch 12v at approx 1.5A. Would like to use a latching Hall effect sensor (latches on with N pole, latches off with S pole) and a power MOSFET (like IRF510).

Could someone provide a detailed circuit and parts recommendation, please? Thanks much.

Note - small size required, circuit will be enclosed in a plastic sealed housing without a heat sink.
