Just a quick question - charging rechargable batteries

hi, i am simply trying to charge two 1.2v rechargeable batteries, would it be ok to put a 5v source to charge them both or is this too much for the two batteries.

You need to worry about current into the battery, not voltage. As long as it's not larger than battery's rated capacity and you stay nearby measuring battery's temperature, you should be OK.
