help needed on telephone related project

I am trying to build a TELEPHONE inter-com system using AT89c51 micro-controller. Can someone assist me regarding the programming? I want to know how to build an SLIC(Subscriber Line Interface Card ) using DTMF receiver MT8870 and IC MT8816. LM555 timer is needed to generate the signal.
