Help Needed for Fingerprint scanning project

Hii all !! I have got a Fingerprint scanner of Compaq that connects to the parallel port. There is Identix DFR 200 fingerprint sensor used in that. I need to build an application for time & attendance. It requires to capture fingerprint image from the scanner & use image matching algorithm.
I can't buy SDK thats too Costly (US$4000) :( . Can anyone help me out?
