drawing timing diagrams

Hi all,

Does anyone have any recommendations as to what software is out there to draw timing diagrams. I tend to just mess around in word or paint etc but this is obviously time consuming.

There must be software out there to help engineers draw these. i am mainly interested in software for digital signals at the moment but i assume any package would do both anyways?
