Cascade 4040 Ripple counter

Hi All,

Can you take a look at the attached pic and tell me if these two ripple counter are connected correctly to give me a 20bit address, especially the CLK / Q12

One small comment:
Depending what device you are addressing, the ripple characteristics of these types of counters may cause unwanted glitches or states.

If that is the case, you may want to add latches on the outputs.
 
I agree that the ripple effects will mess up the outputs. You probably want to use synchronous counters where the outputs are always correct.
