J jamie30 New Member Apr 20, 2012 #1 I'm trying to build a 6 LED Knight Rider circuit but I want to squeeze the circuit into a small space and use white SMT LEDs. SMT LEDs: https://www.rapidonline.com/Electronic-Components/1206-3-2v-White-LED-Surface-Mount-250mcd-56-3120 I need advice on which of the following 555 chips and 4017 ICs I would need. Here's a pair of links to the site I would be buying from. 555: **broken link removed** 4017: https://www.rapidonline.com/Electro...340/?sid=4251dc37-d760-406c-86c0-61290d29d619 Here's the link to the site where I found the circuit. It had the added bonus of being demonstrated on Youtube. https://www.555-timer-circuits.com/knight-rider.html Thanks in advance. Jamie

J jamie30 New Member Apr 21, 2012 #3 Thanks for the reply, I've got the 555 sorted, would this 4017 do the job? https://www.rapidonline.com/Electronic-Components/4017b-Decade-Counter-driver-83-0340
