555 and 4017 advice

I'm trying to build a 6 LED Knight Rider circuit but I want to squeeze the circuit into a small space and use white SMT LEDs.

SMT LEDs:

I need advice on which of the following 555 chips and 4017 ICs I would need.

That 4017 is in a DIL package, it's not a surface mount unit. It will do the job, but bare in mind the size.

Could you please advise me on which of the 555s and the 4017s are surface mount?

Refer to KJ6EAD's post #2. Look for 'SOxx' as the package.
