2 Breadboards One Switch

Hi guys,
I have two breadboards connected together. On the top breadboard I have a mini tact switch. If I attached its signal to the second breadboard just after where you put your power wire, would this mean I could turn the second breadboard on and off without turning the top one off.

Yes, that would work, but you won't need the resistor.
You will however need to connect both 0v rails together.

Keep in mind those little mini tact switches aren't meant for much current. So be careful what you switch on and off with it.
