hey
ive just started looking into building a new amplifier for my new car. My main concern is the output of the battery. Im not sure what the current is that im dealing with. Also if the current is high (which i assume it is) can anyone suggest a current limiting circuit that may work in this...
Im looking for the best SPICE program. I have no budget n really do need it. Which one should i go for? Is there one commonly used program?
Cheers Will.
I need a circuit that gives out 0.5Hz to 3Hz. It is for a metronome project. I have tried 555s but i would like to try another method. Simplicity is vital. If the 555 is the best method just say although it does have a margin of error. It would help if it was a 50% duty cycle or there abouts but...
i have found more out about the circuit and it is in fact an Infra red instead of radio signal that i wnat to intercept and i would like a range of 100m. Is this possible? As a result the screen would not need to show the frequency and 8 7-segment displays could be used. (its the UK if its still...
does anyone have a schematic for a decoder to decode an 8bit radio signal with also incorporates a screen (not vital but wanted) to show radio frequency and code? The signal is not encrypted but it is at a random frequency and a string of 8 0s or 1s.
cheers Will
Ive just finished my GSCE project. Simple is best as it just needs to look good. There are many more marks for looks then if it works. Try a security barrier for a car park or a simple sequence follower game.
I have many design ideas that we were if you want me to email them to you. Also...
if its systems and control that you are doing then any project will do. I am doing it at the moment and there are more marks if the project works then if it is a good project. Find out the exam board you are using and then go on their website. There will be some sample projects on there.

What are you planning to use for inputs? A pic would be very useful as well as switches could be easily added straight onto the board and the circuitry would be simple. By any chance are you doing it for GCSE?
Will
There are a number of methods of doing this. I think having a series of moisture detectors linked up to a pic board should work. As for the output a simple electronic valve should work. This too could be linked up to the pic. If you need any furthur help i will try to get the info as a friend is...
Why bother with that transformer when a better stun gun can be found at **broken link removed** . It is called a dazer but trust me it is strong. It gives out 2000V DC. The transformer is also easier to get and it is easy to make a PCB of.
Will
I have a really good book that is quite simple to understand. I am new to electronics too and i use this book all the time. Its called Hughes Electrical and Electronic Technology.
If you want to know where to order parts try www.rapidelectronics.com. Its a really good service.
Will
If you want to put a switch in, put it directly after the positive on the battery. It could go other places but for logic reasons i prefer it to go where i suggested.
I cannot find the diode either. If anyone finds one can they tell me where to get it.
