Ok, I want to build a radiocontrolled switch, easy, or?

I know I need a transmitter and a receiver. I have been searching around a bit for radio transmitters and recievers, but all of them seems too complicated for what i need. All i want is a simple transmitter, with a switch to trigger it and send a signal to the receiver, which controls a relay, and turns the ligt on and off.

As long as the receiver receives a signal it holds the relay in the "on" position, and when it doesn't receives a signal anymore, the relays turns off.

Hope you guys understand me.

Cheers!

hi

it may be cheaper and easier to use something premade..
I have used a wireless doorbell for something similar, in my case it was to operate a solenoid that controlled a water supply. the door bell circuit was perfect since it only triggered the output while the remote button was pressed.

best part... it cost only about $20 US

hope this helps
