I was just wondering if anyone knows of any good sites to get electronic supplies. More specifically I need a 3PDT Stomp Switch, but all my searches for them so far have turned up prices in the range of $15+. Which seems like a total rip-off to me.

Thanks.

EDIT: It appears that I can find 2 makes of what I'm looking for one is marked CIC Switch Series Model# 01-690DB, and the other is Fulltone (of which is super expensive). So if anyone knows where I can find these CIC switches it would be appreciated.

I use switches with gold plated contacts to switch audio. Gold conducts well and doesn't corrode.
Ordinary power switches have silver plated contacts that quickly corrode and need a spark to begin conducting. They become intermittent with audio.
The switches with gold plated contacts cost pennies more than the same switch with silver contacts.

Assuming this is for a guitar effects box?, check companies who sell spares for guitars and amplifiers etc. - it's not a particularly common switch, so is only easily available through specialist dealers.

I made a four-pole switch by using two double-pole toggle switches and using epoxy glue to fasten a metal bar to their toggle levers. It works well and looks good.

Careful with some of the cheaper stomp switches. They won't survive many solid stomps.

Many people recommend Carlings for long life. I've tried some of the cheaper ones and our 125-pound guitarist killed it in 2 songs. His Carling-equipped pedals have been going strong for years. Of course, if you don't jump around like a gibbon when you play (he loves to play!) you might have different results.

I've also heard good things about the Fulltones but haven't tried them or even priced them out.
