zap circuit

hey guys, my first post!

i'm in a lvl2 electrotechnology course at school, and my teacher has let me design and create a shocker or zap-circuit; but releasing what an invention of this type could be - very painful - i'm trying to be careful. i know what components i need; but can i get help on ratings of components to avoid? i'm thinking the transformer, but i'm not sure. can i get some help please?

I wonder what state of mind a teacher is in to assign a subject like that...? :shock:
How about something simple and humane like a fridge alarm...?? :lol:
