Hi to all,

What is your favorite song of all time, or better yet, currently?
My favorite song all time is: Dr. Dre - Nothing but a "G" Thing.
My current favorite song is "Matt Pokora - Catch me if you can"

Never got past the 70's. You just can't get better than Eric Burden & the Animals , Black Sabbath , Led Zepplin , The Kinks , The Troggs & of course Roy Orbison. If you want to switch off & not concentrate too hard then there is the Shaddows

Riders On The Storm - Snoop Dogg (NFS underground)

smoooooooooooth song

oh and the Tetris theme, that's nice ;)

Led Zep - Kashmir.

Duh duh duh, duh duh duh.....

Then Plant's raw vocals...

"Oh let the sun beat down upon my face, stars to fill my dream
I am a traveler of both time and space, to be where I have been
To sit with elders of the gentle race, this world has seldom seen
They talk of days for which they sit and wait and all will be revealed..... "

Songwriting from a time where a song actually told a story with passion....unlike all this commercialised boom, boom, boom crap that assaults the ears today, purely in pursuit of money.

Don't have one absolute favorite, but I can make a list of a few songs I favor, songs I sing along to and crank up the volume.
My tastes are varied within the rock genre

Guns N Roses "Patience"
Guns N Roses "Night Train"
Metallica "One"
Black Sabbath "War Pigs"
Led Zeppelin "Black Dog"
Led Zeppelin "Whole Lotta Love"
Van Halen "Panama"
Van Halen "Dance the Night Away"
AC/DC "Thunderstruck"
Journey "Don't Stop Believing"
Queen "We will rock you"
Queen "Bohemian Rhapsody"
Foreigner "Jukebox hero"
REO Speedwagon "Can't Fight This Feeling"
REO SPeedwagon "Take It On The Run"
REO Speedwagon "Keep on Lovin You"
Rush "Tom Sawyer"
Alice In Chains "Rooster"
Alice In Chains "Man in The Box"
Nirvana "Heart Shaped Box"
Nirvana "Lithium"
...really everything Nirvana ever did
Pearl Jam "Jeremy"

....I could go on and on and on and on...many bands, The Who, The Doors, Deep Purple, ELO, Megadeth, Anthrax, Motley Crue, REM, U2, Yes!, Toto, Genesis, The Police, even Men at Work and Duran Duran have good music though they were derfinately poppish

And I certainly like a whole lot of (more) current American rock music (ie late 90s/2000s AND NOT particularly pop or hiphop) like Nickleback, System of a Down, Tool, Korn, Foo Fighters, SlipKnot, 311 etc.

ke5frf,

You and I need to swap mp3 files! Then again, we probably have alot of the same songs - YES! :D
Oh wait, that's another one of my very favorite bands.

Awesome, Yes I'm definately a product of the 70s and 80s and will always love the classics of the late 60s.

I'm 37, my 29 year old wife thinks I'm a dork for not liking the latest "nothin but a g thang" type music. Bleh!

"The Boxer", Simon & Garfunkel

I'll try pick my favourite song from the first 10 or so artists that come to my head.

Bob Marley - Redemption Song
Andrea Bocelli - Por tí volaré
Alice in Chains - Would?
Metallica - One
Nirvana - man who sold the world
David Bowie - Space Oddity
Pearl Jam - Jeremy
The Dubliners - Rocky Road to Dublin
UB40 - 1 in 10
Red Hot Chilli Peppers - Otherside
The Stone Roses - I wanna be adored

I like a lot of older Nine Inch Nails, especially the Broken and Fixed albums (Fixed is remix of Broken) I'm not a particularly goth sort of person, but I find the energy in the music is incredible, granted the lyrics are slightly disturbing to some of lesser constitution.

Nick Cave- Red Right Hand

Rush, Fairwell to kings and 2112
