Does anyone know what the disadvantages are for active filters?

Hello,

One disadvantage is the input/output is limited by the power supply voltages, unlike a passive filter.

They require power for the active device(s).

They are only practical at lower frequencies, limited by the bandwidth of the active device.

Does that satisfy your homework requirements?
