There are 2 ways of interfacing the DSP to the USB:-
1.) Use a USB Tranciever chip like the Philips or Dallas Maxim's, sorry cant recall the chip no, try **broken link removed**
2.) Use a MCU with built in USB I/O interface like Cygnal 8051, Motorola MC68HC08JB8, Microchip PIC16C745/PIC16C765 etc, there plenty of em
